Hafeez said that it is a great opportunity for Shaheen Afridi that he got blessed with a good start at the PSL by winning the league. Hafeez stated this to the reporter on Tuesday where he arrived to play Mohammedan Sporting Club in Dhaka.
He said he still believes that Shaheen Afridi has to think a little bit more about his health and fitness. He has to think about the load he is putting upon himself. He said that Shaheen should not play each and every game.
Shaheen Afridi and his emerging career
Afridi is an experienced player who has been playing in Pakistan across formats and has appeared for his country in 36 internationals last year. Shaheen Afridi is also set to play for the English County, Middlesex next season. So there are concerns about the workload management of Shaheen Afridi.
Hafeez retired from international cricket this year. The all-rounder who has been a part of Lahore Qalandars said that he is not thinking about coaching in the near future.
He said that it is better to give time to himself to think about the ways in which he can be valuable. He added that he is not the one who takes a leap of faith and will follow the process slowly. He will do anything to serve the country if he can.
Hafeez concluded by saying that he really has no idea in which way he will go, but as he said, he will think about it. He said he is enjoying cricket at the moment and also giving his time to the family members. He concluded by saying that he is not a job seeker and he never wanted to be one.
