According to the latest developments, Royal Challengers Bangalore have managed to rope in uncapped Afghanistan spinner Izharulhaq Naveed as a net bowler. The new decision is made for the newest edition of the Indian Premier League. Izharulhaq Naveed gave affirmation of the same by posting a picture on his social media handle in the RCB jersey. The young leg-spinner was a part of Afghan’s under 19 World Cup team earlier this year.
What made RCB buy Izharulhaq Naveed as a net bowler?
Izharulhaq Naveed was pretty spectacular in the competition. At a magnificent economy rate of 3.63, he scalped four wickets in six games. Naveed now has a chance to perform for the prominent batters of RCB in the nets. He will be able to gain a lot of insights into the lucrative tournament and its bowling style as he will be bowling Kohli, du Plessis, and Maxwell.
Izharulhaq Naveed can earn a place for himself in the IPL if he performs well in the nets. Particularly, Afghanistan has a reputation for nurturing remarkable spinners. The likes of Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Rashid Khan have already made a notable impact in the IPL. Izharulhaq Naveed will be looking to follow in their footsteps.
RCB under Faf du Plessis

Meanwhile, the Royal Challengers Bangalore will be taking a new look at themselves this season. The side had gone under a massive changeover in the squad during the mega auction last month. With Virat Kohli stepping down as the RCB skipper, former Proteas captain Faf du Plessis will lead the team this season.
The former South Africa skipper has a duty to fulfill as RCB is yet to clinch their first IPL trophy. The Bangalore-based team has appeared for the final race thrice, they are yet to taste the victory. Nonetheless, they would be determined to get out of the trophy slump this season. With the likes of Dinesh Karthik, Josh Hazlewood, and Wanindu Hasaranga, the mission does not seem impossible to achieve.
The season is going to get quite tight as it is witnessing a 10 teams affair. Now that Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans have joined the race for the title, it depends on how the older franchises performs.
