In a statement released on Friday, the five-time defending champions of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the Mumbai Indians, said that Mark Boucher has had a long and successful career as a wicket-keeper as well as a batsman, and he currently holds the record for the most dismissals made by a wicket-keeper in a test match. After he retired from playing cricket, he became the coach of Titans, a premier cricket team in South Africa, and guided them to five domestic titles during his tenure.
Mark Boucher was named the head coach of Cricket South Africa in 2019, and during his tenure there, the team won 11 tests, 12 one-day internationals, and 23 Twenty20 Internationals.

Before traveling to the Twenty20 World Cup in Australia, where South Africa will be grouped together with Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan, his final series as captain will be a white-ball tour of India, which will take place between September 28 and October 11.
