GT vs PBKS: The Shubhman Gill firework
The Gujarat team was on the shoulders of Shubhman Gill before Rahul Tewatia came on board. Gill could be found in his form on the ground yesterday night. He parred his previous high score of 84. Gill fired boundaries off the first two balls he faced before hitting three in the next over by Arshdeep Singh. Gill made 33 off 53 that Gujarat managed in the powerplay.

Shubhman Gill got a second life when Odean Smith failed to hang on to a return catch. Gill was also assisted by cameos from debutant Sai Sudharshan and Pandya that helped Gujarat hang on to the chase. However, he was left unproductive in the last 14 balls of his knock where he failed to get a boundary before losing his wicket in the penultimate over, being caught off Rabada Kagiso.
GT vs PBKS: What occurred to Punjab?
It did seem like a similar prospect when they shifted their gears through the middle of the innings. This was largely due to losing both Mayank Agarwal and Jonny Bairstow, who replaced Bhanuka Rajapaksa.

Punjab paid the price of trying to get a kick-start in the powerplay phase. Nalkande first had both Sharma and Odean Smith caught off consecutive deliveries. The double wicket did affect little the approach of Livingstone or Shahrukh Khan, who kicked off with two sixes against Mohammed Shami. However, they both fell to Rashid Khan eventually the next over trying to slog him. Punjab slipped to 154/7 with more than four overs left in the innings.
