Jurgen Klopp thinks Sanchez was lucky he hadn’t gotten a red card in the first half, going in so high on Thiago onto his knee. Jurgen Klopp said on Inter Milan’s Alexis Sanchez’s red card against Liverpool that passion is good, completely good, but if it leads to these kinds of things, it doesn’t help.
Referee Mateu Lahoz sent Sanchez a second yellow card for catching Fabinho with his follow-through moments. This happened after Lautaro Martinez had blasted Inter back into the last-16 tie with a thunderbolt effort at Anfield.
This resulted in cutting the Serie A side’s deficit to 2-1 on aggregate.
The Chilean was enraged by the decision and refused to leave the field for several minutes, during which Inter coach Massimiliano Farris was sent off. Though, Klopp said Sanchez was lucky to be on the pitch at all by the time of his dismissal.
He only received a yellow card for a knee-high challenge on Thiago Alcantara earlier in the game.
Jurgen Klopp take on Yesterday’s game
The defeat broke Liverpool’s 12-game winning streak. Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp expressed disappointment at the conclusion of the run. He was philosophical as he pondered where the Reds can afford to lose.
Regardless of the outcome, the German believed the scoreline could have been different if his team had converted more of their clear-cut chances. The moments had Joel Matip hitting the post and Mo Salah also hitting both posts.
Jurgen Klopp said that the art of football sometimes consists of losing the right games. He hates it though, but if there were any games to lose, it was this game because the main motive is to go through and they have achieved, he added.

Salah’s Statement on the game against Inter Milan
After securing a 2-0 lead in the first leg at the San Siro, Mo Salah said Liverpool may have been complacent going into the second leg of the last-16 tie. He vowed his team will learn from their first setback since December to bounce back in the championship chase.

Salah much like Jurgen Klopp said that they lost a game and that might help them get a push. They might have been overconfident in the hindsight. It is a good game to learn from and carry on, he added.
He added that they struggled from the beginning but the main thing is to qualify and they have achieved that.
He acknowledged that he hit the woodworks twice. Salah believes that he can score three goals in the next game.
