DC vs LSG: With a six-wicket triumph over Delhi Capitals at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai, Lucknow Super Giants completed a hat-trick of victories. Quinton de Kock’s 54-ball 80 set the tone for their chase, which ended with them crossing the line in the final over on Thursday (April 7). DC vs LSG: How did LSG and De Kock approach the chase?
The openers started at a slow pace with only two boundaries coming in the first four overs until Anrich Nortje came into the attack.
In his first-ever IPL appearance in India, Nortje, who was returning from injury, had a dreadful night. DC may have missed a trick by not having him open the bowling alongside Mustafizur Rahman at the start, instead opting for Lalit Yadav.
Nortje was sent in in the fifth over, and Quinton de Kock destroyed him in the over, taking him for three fours and a six. He returned to deliver the 14th over and bowled a first-up beamer. In the 16th over, he bowled another and was pushed off of the attack after only 2.2 overs, taking 35 runs as LSG gained momentum.
DC vs LSG: In the middle overs, how did DC’s spinners fare?

With only one wicket in three matches in the phase, DC was unable to break the partnership and strike in the powerplay once more. Despite KL Rahul falling for a run-a-ball 24, the spinners did well to keep the score under control, although de Kock continued to chip in with the occasional boundaries.
Soon after, Evin Lewis was defeated by Lalit, but de Kock kept the scoreboard going. Kuldeep returned to finish his innings with nine fours and two sixes for 80 runs off 52 balls.
