DC vs KKR: The star bowler Kuldeep Yadav’s four-fer along with David Warner’s easy 42 settled the game for Delhi Capitals over Kolkata Knight Riders. Kolkata Knight Riders suffered their fifth consecutive loss with the latest encounter at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. With this win, Delhi Capital has moved up to the sixth position on the points table with their fourth win of the season.
DC vs KKR: The collapsed top order of KKR
It was the continued experimentation of KKR with their top order that failed them in the latest match as well. Making three changes in the XI did not bring any impact on the game. The top three were blown with ease. Aaron Finch could have been easily dismissed on an LBW off the second ball itself. He was lucky that time, but the luck did not last any longer as he was sized up by Chetan Sakariya, who replaced Khaleel Ahmed.
Shreyas Iyer, however, held the innings strong from one end as KKR kept losing the batters on the other end frequently. Baba Indrajit, Venkatesh Iyer, and Sunil Narine were dismissed in quick succession. At this moment, Kolkata was left with 35 for 4 midway through the 8th over.
DC vs KKR: Kuldeep Lightning strikes

Kuldeep Yadav made an immediate impact when he came on to bow. He snared the wickets of Baba Indrajit and Sunil Narine in an amazing fashion. He was shortly sized up by Nitish Rana, yet it made no impact. He then returned for his third over and nicked two more wickets off. This ended the 48-run partnership that KKR had put their faith in for the revival.
Shreyas Iyer got out due to a bottom edge to a googly which was caught with ease by Skipper Rishabh Pant. The DC duo then ended Russell’s stay in the crease three balls later for a duck.

DC vs KKR: Umesh Yadav makes his presence felt again

KKR’s main weapon in the powerplay, Umesh Yadav, made everyone in the stadium feel his presence again. Prithvi Shaw got a leading edge back to Yadav on the first over. He had also got two other massive wickets by the end of the 12th over. David Warner and Rishabh Pant were the other two victims of his pace. The Kolkata Knight Riders spearhead finished with impressive figures of 3 for 23.
Apart from the controlled bowling of Umesh Yadav, David Warner cracked eight boundaries in his 26-ball innings which helped Delhi Capitals keep pushing the chase. Lalit Yadav provided great support to Warner’s innings through his 29-ball 22 though he struggled to crack through the bowling pressure of Umesh Yadav.
