
The Indian team will soon acquire new physios, strength, and conditioning coaches. They will be part of a dedicated Sports Science & Sports Medicine (SSSM) team headed by Nitin Patel.
The candidates will be an important part of a multidisciplinary team. They will provide an optimal injury management & injury prevention mechanism to the athletes. The athletes should in contract with BCCI as national team representatives or selected members.
BCCI’s s recruitment decision for the Indian team
The Board of Control for Cricket in India will be making a vast number of recruitments for its SSSM team which includes physios and trainers (S&C) for team India.
Both physios and S&C coaches of the Indian team will have two categories of recruitment in which category 1 will consist of working with senior men & women’s teams. Category 2 will work with the juniors as well as domestic cricket.
However, the interesting aspect of the new appointment will be the enhanced role of rehab specialists and performance analysts among S&C coaches at the NCA.

BCCI’s key operating environment regarding the Indian’s team
It is interesting to deal with players who may be non-compliant or non-motivated regarding the prevention of injuries and performance enhancements.
BCCI has dealt in the past with a lot of players in the Indian team who were not serious about their rehabilitation. They literally made NCA their second home.
Most of the current NCA staff of the Indian team are in expectation of reinstating into the system.
