The IPL 2022 sponsorships and other deals are expected to bring in a total of Rs 800 crore for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The new season of the IPL is expected to begin on March 26 with TATA as the league’s new principal sponsor.
In addition to Tata, the BCCI has signed partnerships with RuPay and Swiggy Instamart as new IPL key sponsors. The board has struck an agreement of Rs 42 crore per annum with RuPay and Rs 44 crore per annum with Swiggy Instamart.
The BCCI aim of 800 cr from IPL 2022 sponsorships

The Indian cricket board is expected to collect a little over Rs 800 crore from IPL 2022 sponsorships money this year. This will be a record-breaking sum for the BCCI since the competition began in 2008.
The money has grown this year because the number of sponsors for the IPL has increased, and TATA is poised to pay a large amount for title sponsorship.
Despite the fact that Tata will pay less than VIVO was expected to pay the BCCI as title sponsors, the report claims that the VIVO title sponsorship arrangement has been moved to TATA in such a way that the Chinese phone makers will bear the entire deficit.
The BCCI contract on IPL 2022 sponsorship with TATA
The BCCI had a contract with VIVO that paid them Rs 440 crore per season till 2023. TATA will only pay the Indian board Rs 335 crore per season. VIVO will be responsible for the Rs 105 crore (INR 1.05 billion) deficit.
IPL 2022 will feature a total of 74 matches as the competition expands to ten teams. There will be an addition of two new franchises, Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants.
